Everyone worries about having their crypto account hacked in the middle of the night by some cyber intruder but hackers have turned to the easier way of getting your coins, by having you call them to steal your coins and tokens. The SCAM:  Go to google and search for the name of any of the popular wallets, Ledger Nano, Trezor etc… after typing in the name of the wallet type in “support phone number”, see what comes up?  about 5 different numbers with all different web addresses to them, if you change the wallet name and hit search again you will see the same phone numbers come up. Yes, you are about to call what you think is a support number and the person that you get on the other side of the call will be very helpful, they will ask you to type in a support address in your computer and take over your screen control and they will help you with firmware updates and show you how to use your device/wallet and address any issues you have.  You just called a person who you let into your wallet and they helped you with your issues and question, oh and by the way, they changed setting and now have control of your wallet and will take all your coins when ever they want. Don’t believe me? check it out for yourself by typing in Google ” Ledger wallet support phone number” See it?  After you lose your money you feel so stupid that you let this happen you don’t want to report it but if you don’t you will keep losing your coins.  When you call Coinbase they will tell you that this is a all to common scam that they will look into it but your coins are gone and you won’t get them back, oh and by the way we are going to freeze your account and investigate. After 1 week Coinbase might get back to you and say they can’t help you. You also need to get a new wallet or reset your wallet like it is brand new. This scam is happening everyday and the scammers have found a way to have you call them and invite them in the front door. You might say well if the wallets had support phone numbers this wouldn’t happen or if google didn’t allow these fake sites but the truth is you needed help and let your guard down. If this happened to you, I’m sorry.  If  you read this and it stops you from letting this happen to you, great. Where money can be made criminals will always be looking to find a way to scam you.
